You can get VAT Refund with 3 easy steps.
1. Spend at least 2,000 Baht at the stores displaying VAT Refund for Tourists sign, ask for P.P.10 Form
or e-P.P.10 with original Tax invoices.
2. On your departure date, declare your purchased goods, P.P.10 Forms or e-P.P.10 and original Tax invoices at the Customs Office to get inspection stamps before loading your luggage.
3. After Immigration, submit P.P.10 Forms or e-P.P.10 and original Tax invoices at VAT Refund Office. For more information and conditions, please visit our website.
Luxury Goods are jewelry, gold ornament, watch, glasses, pen, mobile or smart phone, laptop or tablet, handbag, belt, which value of 10,000 Baht or more per item. Carry-on goods are goods which value of 50,000 Baht or more per item, for example; keychain, hair accessory, pin and brooch,
cufflink, shoes, sneaker, jacket, wallet, purse, scarf, etc.
Tourists who purchased the luxury goods have to declare them twice. First, at the Customs Inspection Office, before checking in and loading your luggage. Second, at the VAT Refund for Tourists Office, after passing Immigration. Therefore, tourists have to hand-carry the luxury goods with themselves for re-inspection. For goods that are too large to carry on board, present luggage tags and photos to show our officers.
You are eligible to claim VAT Refund if you take the goods out of Thailand from the International Airports within 60 days of purchase date. Make sure to declare and have the Forms stamped by
the Customs. However, iPhone is one of Luxury Goods, please carry and declare once again at VAT Refund for Tourists Office.
When you leave Thailand and your passport has been stamped by Thailand Immigration,
your trip will be considered as completed, even though if you come back in a few days.
We consider it as trip by trip. Therefore, on your departure date, make sure to declare your purchased good at the Customs Office to get inspection stamps and at VAT Refund Office
as it is a luxury good.
Hotels and restaurants are a type of services. You cannot claim VAT Refund on services or goods
that you consume during staying in Thailand.
Refunds will not be granted if you reside in Thailand or your stay exceeds 180 days.
VAT Refund for Tourists is available for travelers who depart Thailand by airplanes only.
Our offices are in 10 international airports as follow; Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang, Chiang Mai,
Phuket, Hat Yai, U-Tapao, Krabi, Samui, Surat Thani, and Mae Fah Luang-Chiang Rai. If you leave Thailand by other border crossings, you will miss a chance to claim VAT Refund.
You can request your VAT Refund by mailing the following documents to VAT Refund for Tourists Office. Address shown on the back of the Form.
1. VAT Refund Forms (P.P.10 or e-P.P.10) and original Tax invoices, which have been stamped by
the Customs. In case the total value of your purchase (summary of all forms) is less than
5,000 Baht, you would be exempted from Customs procedure. If you have luxury goods,
the Forms must be stamped from the Customs and the Revenues.
2. A photocopy of your passport showing your photo, name and passport number.
3. A photocopy of your passport showing the arrival and departure dates stamped by Thailand Immigration.
4. A photocopy of your credit card (only Visa, MasterCard, Diners or JCB) showing your name,
account number and expiry date (should valid more than three months).
The name of the claimant and the credit cardholder must be exactly the same.

not be done in advance. Therefore, you should wait a couple hours.
If you have an international flight depart directly from Chiang Mai, VAT Refund should be claimed there. However, VAT Refund could not be claimed if you have a ticket for domestic flight.
